We Have a Lauch!

I’ve started by blog to give fans (or the opposite) a forum to follow my writings, catch up on upcoming novels, and ask questions they may have had after reading my books.

I’ve been writing since I was about 12 years old. Many hours of boredom were abused in middle school classes as I created stories about aliens, dinosaurs, and mutant teachers (it was beginning to effect my mind already!). But somehow, over all those years, my ability to be a storyteller began to develop. Add a two decade side-trip into RPGs (Role Playing Games), and my transformation is complete.

I’ve had, begun, or failed at at least five careers over my life, but only writing has remained a constant through all of that. My first short was published almost 30 years ago, many years before I discovered I’m really a novelist. And the first attempt at that novel was written in 2004.

Now, in 2011, my imagination has taken that first novel and matured it into a grand story arc known as Earth Song, six novels covering over 500 years of human history from the days of Earth’s destruction until humanities rise to galactic power.

I have more ideas than I will probably have years to live, something that I believe I shared with my greatest influence as a writer, Robert A. Heinlein. But as a famous Brit once said; “May you live as long as you want to, and want to as long as you live!” I know, he wasn’t talking about writing, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true!

Extra points if you know who said that last quote!

  1. Nicely Done.
Scrolling through the text felt a little like the original Star Wars intro.
    Good luck.
